MCK RAW FOOD

About Our Rabbit Recipe

MCK raw rabbit recipe a beautiful mix of whole rabbit kale carrots and turmeric.

Raw Rabbit Recipe

At My Canines Keeper, we proudly source our rabbits from local rabbit farmers right here on Long Island to create our small-batch raw rabbit recipe for dogs. Every batch is made using the whole rabbit, including bone, organ, and meat, following a natural prey-model style diet that helps provide biologically appropriate nutrition for your dog. We believe in utilizing the entire animal with as little waste as possible, which is why we also offer natural fur-on rabbit chews as a gut-health enrichment option and natural deworming aid.

Our rabbit recipe is carefully crafted with wholesome added ingredients including kale, carrots, and turmeric to help support your dog’s overall health and wellness naturally.

Why Rabbit is Great for Dogs

Rabbit is a lean, high-protein novel protein source that is excellent for many dogs, especially those with food sensitivities or allergies to common proteins like chicken or beef. Rabbit is naturally rich in:

  • High-quality protein for muscle development and maintenance
  • Essential amino acids for overall body function
  • B vitamins to support energy and metabolism
  • Phosphorus and calcium from raw bone for healthy joints and bones
  • Organ meats packed with natural vitamins and minerals

Because rabbit is naturally lean, it can also be a great option for active dogs or dogs needing a lower-fat protein source.

Benefits of Our Added Ingredients

Kale

  • Rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, C, and K
  • Helps support immune health
  • Contains fiber for digestive support
  • Supports healthy skin and coat

Carrots

  • Great source of beta carotene for eye health
  • Natural source of fiber for digestion
  • Low-calorie nutrient boost
  • Adds natural texture and flavor dogs love

Turmeric

  • Known for its anti-inflammatory properties
  • Helps support joint and mobility health
  • Supports immune system function
  • Contains antioxidants that may help reduce oxidative stress

Small Batch & Fresh

We produce our rabbit recipe in small batches to help maintain freshness and quality control. Because we work closely with local farmers and source responsibly, availability may vary depending on seasonal supply.

Recommended Additions to Your Dog’s Diet

While our rabbit recipe is packed with natural nutrition, we always recommend rotational feeding and adding a variety of fresh whole foods (2-3 different proteins) to help create a more balanced and enriching diet over time. Some great additions include:

  • Oily fish such as sardines or mackerel for natural omega-3 fatty acids
  • Eggs for additional protein and healthy fats
  • Green tripe for digestive and gut health support
  • Blueberries or other dog-safe fruits for antioxidants
  • Raw meaty bones or recreational chews for dental health and enrichment
  • Goat milk or kefir for probiotics and digestive support
  • Additional protein rotation such as beef, duck, turkey, or fish to provide nutritional variety

Feeding a variety of proteins and whole foods can help support better gut health, healthier skin and coat, improved digestion, and overall long-term wellness

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at mycanineskeeper@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Refrigerator or freezer will keep your treats and chews fresh for up to 3 months...when kept in a freezer chews and treats can stay in the packaging.

If supervised the whole time and dog is not a gulper yes...but we recommend our Duck feet or bully Spirals as a chew for smaller dogs.

We do apologizes for the SEVER delays in shipping orders. We are still recuperating after the pandemic shut down most of our shipping with some trusted suppliers so we had to spend the time sourcing and building new relationships with new farmers and ranchers to make sure we can still bring you the quality product you know!

Anyone's orders who have been severely delayed will receive an email asking for any allergies so we can send some extra goodies once we do get to your order!

Yes, you can just shoot us an email at mycanineskeeper@gmail.com with what you would like to order and if you would like anything specific!

Raw Meaty bones are what dogs are designed to eat. Cooked bones should never be fed.

Our chews are dehydrated a process which takes moisture out of the product without cooking it completely.

All though safer we like customers to supervise there pups whenever eating any bone type product.
